OUR STORY

de no·â€‹vo (adverb or adjective)
: over again : ANEW

De novo—Latin for "from the beginning"—is a term often used in the legal world. When a court hears a case de novo, it’s starting fresh, with no influence from previous decisions. It felt like the perfect fit for my woodworking business.

After more than 25 years practicing law at some of Atlanta’s top firms, I made the leap to woodworking. Trading in legal briefs for sawdust and wood, I’m starting anew—doing what truly drives me: creating beautiful, handcrafted pieces for homes that will be cherished for generations.

I’m drawn to a clean, modern aesthetic and take inspiration from timeless mid-century modern designs. But above all, I’m committed to working with my clients to build pieces that are unique to their vision and their space. Whether it’s a custom side table, a one-of-a-kind desk, or a thoughtfully designed cabinet, I’ll help you bring your ideas to life.

I also have a soft spot for wood with a history. Some of my favorite pieces come from right here in middle Georgia. Like the walnut I found from a local farmer who cut it down nine years ago and stored it in his grain silo. The wood was perfectly preserved and ready to be made into something special. These stories add a unique layer to the pieces I create, giving them character and soul.
